The creators of the Gas Mask Bra won one of the 2009 Ig Nobel prizes. This is a woman's brassiere that can be converted from a bra to two gas masks, one for herself, and one for a friend.
The Ig Nobel prize honors inventions that "first make people laugh and then make them think". Another award recipient was a group of scientists who discovered that cows with names produce more milk.
