How Americans Spend Their Day: Men versus Women

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, men and women, on average, spend their days differently.

Men spend, on average, 8.4 minutes a day on personal phone calls and email, whereas women spend 15 minutes a day.

Men spend, on average, 24.6 minutes a day on sports, exercise, and recreation, whereas women spend 12.6 minutes a day.

Men spend, on average, 38.4 minutes a day on purchasing goods and services, whereas women spend 52.8 minutes a day.

Eating and drinking were pretty close with men spending, on average, 1.26 hours a day, whereas women spend 1.19 hours.

Sleeping was also pretty close with men spending, on average, 8.62 hours a day, whereas women spend 8.73 hours.

Men spend, on average, 3.1 hours a day watching television, whereas women spend 2.56 hours.
