What is Your Hearing Age? Can You Hear This Now?

If you are one of those people who listens to music and podcasts all the time, you may want to check your hearing. There is software-based protection for your ears that Apple (AAPL) provides for use with its products, to help prevent or cut down on hearing loss.

If you want a quick check to see how good, or bad, your hearing is, you can try listening to the various tones at NoiseAddicts, ranging from 8kHz all the way up to 22kHz. Don't worry if you can't hear most of these; if you can't it just means you are getting older. Once you are older than 25, your hearing at high levels goes downhill. As an experiment, ask your kids if you can hear these tones.

I hope your hearing is better than mine. (I'm not going to tell you how bad my hearing is.)
