Raise Taxes, Get Banned From Bars

The British treasury chief, Alistair Darling, raised taxes on alcohol, much to the dismay of English drinkers and pub owners. The pub owner in Darling's hometown banned Darling from the establishment as a sign of protest. Other pubs around the country followed suit.

Makes you wonder what would happen if this kind of protest spread to the United States. Banning politicians from buying gas for a gas tax increase? Not selling homes to politicians who raise real estate taxes? Refuse to handle stock transactions for politicians who want to raise capital gains taxes?
