The government is planning on encouraging the private sector to offer space travel. Although there is still a lot of controversy, companies may soon be building and operating spacecraft and space travel for NASA.
Companies that may participate include Boeing Co. (BA), Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMT), Orbital Sciences Corp. (ORB), and even Google (GOOG), which is offering a $30 million prize for the development of a moon rover.
